Bhutan tourism to build on William and Kate’s visit

The Kingdom of Bhutan hopes to build on the exposure it received earlier this year when the country was visited by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

William and Kate’s whirlwind visit to the country’s capital, Thimphu, highlighted the vibrant and unique Bhutanese culture, and the couple also met the King and Queen of Bhutan.

Bhutan’s tourism industry was further buoyed this year by the opening of Hotel Norbuling in Thimphu as well as the luxurious Six Senses Bhutan, which developed five new properties across the country.

Bhutanese operators and hoteliers will join members of the Tourism Council of Bhutan at World Travel Market London (7-9 November) to highlight developments in the Himalayan kingdom.
