The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel has launched a new brand campaign for 2018, entitled It’s What Surrounds You.
The campaign will cover six main areas: romance and honeymoon, food, family, island hopping, wildlife and, finally, sailing. It coincides with a series of new developments in the region, including new airlift and more accommodation options.
A 12-storey hotel operated by Marriott International will open in early 2019, overlooking the Caloosahatchee and Fort Myers’ historic River District.
The iconic Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs recently opened its $7.1 million waterpark just in time for the winter travel season. The all-new addition includes a trio of three-storey waterslides with two speed slides and one inner-tube slide with a heated lazy river.
Adding one acre to the hotel’s existing two-acre pool area makes Hyatt Regency Coconut Point’s complex one of the largest resort pool-scapes in Florida.
In line with demand for more activity based holidays, Offshore Sailing School has launched new women’s only sailing courses off Captiva Island, while there is also something new for liquor and spirit fans.
At the newest distillery to open in the region, List Distillery in Fort Myers, visitors can purchase unique flavours such as key lime pie rum, raspberry mint gin, and cinnamon whiskey.
Meanwhile, Eurowings is operating new flights from Germany to Southwest Florida International Airport, Fort Myers in 2018. The weekly services will depart from Cologne-Bonn and Munich airports, with prices starting at €299.99 one way.
