Four new exhibitors join Germany Stand at WTM London

The German stand at WTM London, the leading global event for the travel industry, will be packed with a vast array of product offerings including four new exhibitors.

Miller Reisen, which offers tours to Central and South America; Berlin-based destination management company AGE International; Ameron Hotels, which operates four-star properties in Germany and Switzerland and Meissen Porcelain, the worldwide fine china luxury brand, which has a visitor centre and museum in Dresden, will all be on the Germany stand EU740 at WTM London 2017.

Stand organiser Ilja Hampel, managing partner of destination management company PEGA DMC, described the new stand sharers as “key partners in travel”.

“All participants are excited to be at WTM London – the world’s most important tourism fair,” he said.

The four new stand sharers join representatives from tourist boards, cultural attractions, a low-cost airline and a family run coach charter company among other industry sectors.

Delegates from major cities including Berlin, Dresden and Frankfurt will be sharing news about their destinations, as will Historic Highlights of Germany, which represents 14 historic cities. The Cultural Heart of Germany, meanwhile, will highlight the cultural treasures and hidden gems of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.

Also keen to do business is iNSIDE EUROPE, is a boutique B2B2C tour operator and event management company for affinity travel to European destinations. The company’s mission is to change the way groups travel to Germany by providing dynamic itineraries with a special emphasis on unique city destinations that are off the-beaten-path.

AugustusTours, an established tour operator in Dresden, well-known for its customised tours to Germany for groups and individuals, will also be on stand EU740, as will Eurowings, the recently established, independent low-cost airline and Irro Reisen a family-owned German coach/bus charter company with more than 40 years’ experience in travel business offering bus and coach charters.

In the hotel sector, representatives from the 340-room Westin Bellevue Dresden will highlight its suitability as a conference venue, as well as its spa facilities.

The south-west of the country is represented by SouthWest Germany Tourism Board, which will highlight new developments in the Black Forest, Lake Constance and cities such as Heidelberg, Baden-Baden and Stuttgart.

Visitors can take a virtual-reality tour of Baden-Baden, the elegant and exclusive thermal spa resort in the foothills of the Black Forest, with a new virtual reality app, which makes it possible to walk through the famous parks and gardens of the Lichtentaler Allee or to take a bath in the thermal water of the Caracalla Spa.

Finally, Bavaria Tourism will be highlighting the six different components that form the core of its new official branding, ‘Bavaria – traditionally different’.

Highlights include young brass bands, which are breathing new life into this Bavarian tradition and new experiences that are being set up for tourists by local people, such as traditional restaurants.

Bavaria Tourism CEO Jens Huwald said: “With 502,789 arrivals and 1,026,781 overnight stays in Bavaria in 2016, Great Britain is one of the most important foreign source markets for the holiday destination Bavaria. This is why WTM London, an international meeting place for suppliers, buyers and other touristic players, is an important networking opportunity for us as well as a bridge between the British and Bavarian travel industry.”
