Oman Air hits new heights

Oman Air is undergoing an exciting expansion programme, which will see the carrier operate 70 aircraft to around 75 destinations by 2023.

In recent months, the airline has increased the size of its fleet, launched two new services: to Nairobi in March and Manchester in May and has increased frequency on a number of its established routes.

The new daily Manchester service is operated on an Airbus A330-200 and is in addition to the existing double-daily flight from London Heathrow, making Manchester the only airport outside of London to have direct flights to Oman.

The four-times-weekly flight to Nairobi, operated by a Boeing 737-800, is Oman Air’s first service to Kenya.
The flight will open up easy access to Oman Air’s outstanding range of destinations for customers from Kenya as well as helping to strengthen political, economic and social links between Oman and Kenya.

Meanwhile, the carrier has recently entered into partnerships with a number of carriers, including Malaysia Airlines and Royal Jordanian Airlines, expanding its network and opening up more international destinations.

The latest codeshare agreements add to existing codeshares with airlines including Qatar Airways, British Airways and American Airlines.
