Catalonia’s history gives visitors to the region access to an unrivalled range of cultural attractions, and the Catalonia Tourist Board is using its presence at WTM London to promote some of the highlights.
With the thousand-year-old cave paintings of Le Cogul – one of six UNESCO World Heritage designated sites in Catalonia – to the artistic legacy of the coastal town of Sitges, the visual arts are well represented.
The Cau Ferrat museum in the town is home to an impressive collection of ancient and modern works. It was founded by one of Catalan’s leading modernist artists, Santiago Rusiñol, in 1893.
