Air Europa Takes Off With Latin America Routes And Dreamliner

Air Europa will promote its routes to 20 Latin American destinations in 13 countries, with an ever-increasing number now operated by state-of-the-art Dreamliner aircraft.

The UK team from the Latin America specialist airline will be out in force at WTM London, led by director Colin Stewart.

New sales manager Alvaro Florez will make his debut, having recently joined with more than 20 years of experience at British Airways, Iberia, Arik Air and Air Astana.

New for WTM 2018 is Recife, the third Brazilian destination for the airline, following Salvador de Bahía and Sao Paulo – which is now operated by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Air Europa will also launch a direct flight to Panama on a new Dreamliner.

Other Latin American destinations include Caracas, Bogotá, Guayaquil, Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Lima, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, San Pedro Sula, Montevideo, Asunción, Havana, Cancun, San Juan, Punta Cana, Quito and Santo Domingo.

Air Europa’s $3.5 billion fleet investment programme will see 22 Dreamliner 787 aircraft delivered by 2022.

Sao Paulo is the latest destination operated by the Dreamliner, following Bogotá, Santo Domingo, Buenos Aires, Miami and Lima.

Air Europa’s flights to Latin America operate from Madrid, connecting with the airline’s short-haul services across Europe, including a twice-daily service from Gatwick.

Stewart said: “Air Europa has firmly established itself as Europe’s Latin America specialist airline and WTM is the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our product.”
