Klook, one of the world’s leading tours and activities platform, is using its presence at Travel Forward to kickstart plans to move beyond its Asia stronghold by attracting interest from US and European travelers, suppliers and distributors.
The business has raised around $300m since it launched in 2015. Its most recent fundraising came this August when it picked up $200m in a round backed by top tier travel tech investors such as Sequoia China, Matrix Partners, Goldman Sachs and TCV.
Its consumer-facing site attracts 30 million visitors a month from 80 different source markets, 70% of whom are accessing the site via mobile. It also has a B2B business which provides tours and activities suppliers with the tech needed to be present on its platform.
