Staycity Opens Second Liverpool Property

WTM visitors can find out more about the growing number of properties in the Staycity portfolio, including the latest opening, in Liverpool.

Aparthotels Liverpool Corn Exchange is the company’s second in the city, within walking distance of many of Liverpool’s most popular tourist spots including the Cavern Club, Royal Liver building, Albert Dock, the Water Front, Tate Liverpool as well as the trendy Ropewalks area with its restaurants and bars.

All 212 of the new apartments have a kitchen with a microwave, fridge, dishwasher and hob as well as high-speed broadband, a 40-inch flat screen TV, rainfall shower and a Handy smartphone to take out and about for free local calls.

Staycity Group CEO Tom Walsh said: “I’m particularly pleased to be opening in such a vibrant, busy area of this exciting city, which will be great for both our leisure and business visitors. And of course guests can be assured of a warm Staycity welcome, fantastic service and well-appointed, modern apartments.”

Corn Exchange offers various sized studios, or one and two-bed apartments for up to six people. There’s a special opening rate from only £55 per night.

The property will also have a Staycafé selling drinks, breakfasts and snacks, a fitness room, comfy lounge for working, relaxing or socialising, a laundry room, 24-hour reception desk and guest parking.

Aparthotels are fast becoming a popular alternative to hotels with cost-effective, flexible accommodation for anyone staying away for work or for pleasure, with friends or with family.

Dublin-based Staycity, which was set up in 2004 by Tom Walsh and his brother Ger, now operates in 10 cities across Europe across the Staycity Aparthotels and Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity brands.

The first of the company’s premium Wilde brand was opened earlier this year on London’s Strand, with further sites to follow in Edinburgh, Manchester and Berlin.
