2016 marks the 140th anniversary of Colorado becoming The Centennial State, and Colorado’s birthday celebrations will kick off at the WTM London 2015. The Colorado Tourism Office will be joined by characters of days gone by, sharing their stories of the founding of 38th State. Colorado is known as The Centennial State because it became a state during the 100th anniversary of the US independence in 1876.
