Quinta do Lago, on Portugal’s Algarve, is celebrating the first anniversary of its €10 million multi-sports hub, The Campus.
The resort’s high-performance sports and fitness training centre caters to elite, professional athletes and enthusiastic amateurs alike.
It features a new centre for active living and sports medicine, dedicated studios for group exercise, tennis courts and The Bike Shed, where guests can rent bikes for scenic off-road cycling tours around the Quinta do Lago resort and through the Ria Formosa’s picturesque Natural Park.
The Campus’ professional football and rugby field features a mixture of synthetic and real grass. This allows for the grass’ height to be adjusted and tailored according to each sport. The new Recovery Suite includes hot and cold plunge therapy facilities, sauna and steam rooms.
