Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) Highlights New Leadership, Luxury Growth and Global Partnerships at WTM London 2025

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) will showcase the destination’s bold tourism vision at World Travel Market (WTM) this November, marking the first international industry appearance of newly appointed CEO Phillipa Harrison since joining in September. Phillipa will highlight Ras Al Khaimah’s ambitious growth trajectory, from landmark luxury developments to strategic global partnerships, underscoring the Emirate’s rise as one of the world’s most dynamic destinations.

Previously the Managing Director of Tourism Australia, Phillipa Harrison joined RAKTDA to lead the Emirate’s visionary journey into the next era of tourism growth. With decades of global tourism expertise, she is now steering Ras Al Khaimah’s strategic roadmap to attract over 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030. With Ras Al Khaimah welcoming nearly 1 million visitors as of September 2025, the Emirate is well on course to achieving its long-term tourism ambitions. The UK continues to rank among its top three source markets, recording an 8% year-on-year rise in visitors.

“WTM London provides the perfect stage to present Ras Al Khaimah’s next chapter – from transformative hospitality developments to our elevation on the global luxury travel map” said Phillipa Harrison. “I look forward to engaging with international partners and showcasing why Ras Al Khaimah is one of the most compelling destinations for travellers seeking both authenticity, luxury and world-class experiences.”

The Emirate’s presence at WTM comes on the heels of two major milestones that cement its luxury credentials: Ras Al Khaimah’s invitation-only acceptance into both Virtuoso® and Serandipians by Traveller Made – two of the world’s most exclusive luxury travel networks. This recognition places Ras Al Khaimah alongside the world’s leading luxury destinations such as Santorini, Kyoto and Amalfi Coast, underscoring its rising status as a hub for authentic experiences, exceptional hospitality and long-term appeal to discerning travellers seeking bespoke, high-end experiences.

Further reinforcing this positioning is a 33% year-on-year increase in UK travellers staying in luxury hotels across the Emirate, reflecting the growing appeal of Ras Al Khaimah’s premium offerings to one of its key source markets.

Ras Al Khaimah is preparing to welcome an impressive line-up of new properties from brands including Wynn Resorts, Four Seasons, Nobu, Waldorf Astoria and Ritz-Carlton, complementing recent arrivals such as Anantara Mina Al Arab and Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort. Together, these developments enhance an already diverse luxury portfolio, set against the Emirate’s stunning natural environment – from pristine beaches, mangroves, terracotta dunes to the dramatic Hajar mountains.

At WTM London, attendees will have the chance to connect with RAKTDA representatives and discover firsthand how Ras Al Khaimah is redefining luxury and sustainability in the Middle East.

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority will be at stand S10 509 at WTM, 4th – 6th November, 2025.
