Witness movie magic with The Wizard of Oz at The Sphere
Get ready for a new perspective on an all-time classic, as The Wizard of Oz returns to screens like never before at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Utilising the latest advancements in Google AI technology, every scene has been optimised to accommodate the larger curved screen of The Sphere and to dramatically increase the scope of the original film, putting a modern twist on an old favourite. This immersive experience will also provide 4D effects to make viewers feel they have been transported to the Land of Oz.
HOTEL OPENINGS AND RENOVATIONS
MGM Grand renovations to be completed in December 2025
MGM Grand Hotel & Casino is due to complete its landmark $300 million remodelling in December 2025, encompassing all of the hotel’s 4,212 rooms and suites within its main tower. The transformation is set to include modern, sophisticated design elements inspired by the flair of the disco era, redefining opulent luxury. With this remodel, MGM Grand will add 111 suites to its main tower for a total of 753, ranging in size from 675 to 2,572 square feet.
The Cromwell to rebrand as The Vanderpump Hotel – Opening early 2026
The Cromwell will undergo a complete renovation and transition into a first-of-its-kind destination, The Vanderpump Hotel, in early 2026. As part of a partnership between Caesars Entertainment and Lisa Vanderpump, The Vanderpump Hotel marks the television star and entrepreneur’s first foray into hotels, and follows the success of her many ventures in wine, spirits, restaurants and lounges. Vanderpump will bring her signature glamour and distinctive design to enhance the hotel reception and front desk area, introducing an all-new lounge and redesigning the 188 guest rooms and suites. The property will feature bespoke furnishings and lighting fixtures curated exclusively by Vanderpump Alain. At the heart of the rebrand is an emphasis on sexy elegance and comfort, with chic rooms and a fresh, new feel to the casino floor. Vanderpump will also hand-select the amenities for hotel guests.

The Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix returns for its third year
From 21-23 November, Formula 1 returns to Las Vegas, once again showcasing the natural synergy between Las Vegas and F1 with extravagance and high-octane thrills like nowhere else. The Las Vegas Grand Prix offers a thrill-inducing 17-turn circuit, three straights and two DRS zones for adrenaline-fuelled action during every part of the race. With drivers racing down the Strip past the iconic Las Vegas sights, from Caesars Palace and the Bellagio Fountains to the Las Vegas Sphere, creating one of the most spectacular settings in Formula 1 history. For an extra sprinkling of Las Vegas magic, head to the T-Mobile Zone at The Sphere, where headliners include legendary artists Zedd, Machine Gun Kelly and T-Pain for a night of unforgettable atmosphere and thrills beyond the race track.

An exciting development has occurred for the sports scene in Las Vegas, as groundbreaking has begun for the new A’s baseball stadium. The venue is expected to be completed in 2028, further cementing Las Vegas as ‘The Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World.’ Standing on the site of where The Tropicana Las Vegas used to reside, the 33,000-capacity ballpark will function as a true multipurpose venue, able to host concerts, conferences, and other events.
