Join Visit Wales and the panellists below on Wednesday 6th November at 14.00 in the UK and Ireland Inspiration Zone to find out more…

Phoebe Smith – Travel Writer for Wanderlust, Telegraph

Phoebe Smith is one of the UK’s leading adventure writers. Having grown up on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, she has been an advocate for female travel and outdoor experiences and has made it her mission to encourage other women and men to adopt a “push-yourself-out-of- your-comfort-zone” mentality.

Richard Parks – Extreme athlete and world adventurer

Richard is a world-leading extreme environment athlete, who leads socially motivated expeditions. He is the first person to climb the highest mountain on each of the world’s seven continents and stand on the North and South Pole in the same calendar year, and the first Welshman to ski solo and unsupported to the South Pole.

Sian Sykes – Founder of Psyched Paddleboarding

Sian has completed a number of record-breaking stand up paddleboarding challenges. She was the first person to ever paddleboard solo across the three British lakes, Llyn Tegid, Windermere Lake and Loch Awe in three days and her most recent achievement was a 100km expedition in which she circumnavigated around Wales to raise money and collect plastic as she travelled.

Phil Scott – Founder of world’s fastest RibRide

Phil Scott is a sailing entrepreneur and returned to Anglesey following an eight-year Caribbean charter. Identifying that the North Wales coastline was an amazing place to explore by boat, he decided to set up his very own rib boat business so visitors can soak in the sights whilst experiencing the exhilarating outdoors.

Mari Stevens – Head of Marketing at Visit Wales

Mari Stevens is Visit Wales’s Director of Marketing, and is also responsible for promoting Wales as a place for inward investment, start-up growth and export. She has led the work of developing the award-winning Cymru Wales nation brand; a number of international marketing campaigns; and driven global awareness for Wales during major events including the NATO Wales Summit, UEFA Champions League Final and Rugby World Cup.
