Why Poland at WTM Virtual:

Less crowds, more fun: Poland to promote city breaks with a fresh perspective

Polish cities are more than just a city centre, many different cultures have helped shape these cities over hundreds of years and new tours will be organised in 2021 to help spread visitors across the country. With approximately 90% of UK respondents to a Polish Tourism Organisation survey stating the country’s cities were their most important tourism attraction. Tourists are being encouraged to make the most of the quieter post-COVID period to create a more intimate travel experience, whether they are checking out the UNESCO-protected Old Towns of Krakow and Warsaw, the peaceful waterways of Wroclaw and Gdansk or the buzzing bars and side streets of Lodz and Poznan. www.poland.travel/en/travel-inspirations

The year of the great outdoors: Poland showcases its adventurous side in 2021

The Polish Tourism Organisation will focus on promoting the country’s diverse adventure tourism offering during 2021. From one of Europe’s most picturesque kayaking and canoeing settings in the Masurian Lake District (adequately known as the land of a thousand lakes) and cycling along the Baltic Coast via the ‘Green Velo Trail’ to hiking and skiing in the Tatra Mountains, Poland’s wealth of diverse, picturesque landscapes and unique wildlife (including Europe’s largest land mammal, the European Bison) make the country one of Europe’s most intriguing outdoor adventure prospects. www.poland.travel/en/experience/extreme-adventure
