Portugal’s TAP airline adds winter services from the UK

TAP, the leading airline to Portugal from the UK, will increase the number of weekly flights from Gatwick to Lisbon and Porto this winter.

The increases bring TAP’s winter schedule to a total of 71 direct weekly flights to Portugal from Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester, when the new timetable starts on October 30.

From Gatwick to Porto, TAP will introduce two additional flights, serving this route with a total of 14 weekly flights. The Gatwick-Lisbon route will expand from seven to 12 weekly flights.

Other changes in the winter schedule include increased services from Lisbon to Ponta Delgada, Azores, which will double from one daily flight to two a day. There will also be increases from Lisbon to Miami, Boston and New York, JFK.

TAP’s network in Africa is also set for growth, with further services operating from Lisbon, to Cape Verde, Senegal and Angola.

Passengers flying on round trips starting in the UK to the US, Brazil or Africa, and vice versa, can benefit from the new Portugal Stopover programme.

Customers travelling via Lisbon or Porto can break up their journey on the outbound or return itinerary for up to three nights.
