Hotel segment features prominently at WTM Latin America 2020

Large chains as well as independent hotels have already confirmed for the 8th edition

The main tourism event aimed at the B2B audience in Latin America, WTM Latin America, will be held between March 31 and April 2. This event, which will include roughly 600 exhibitors of 50 different nationalities, will bring together important tourism representatives at the Expo Center Norte Exhibition Centre, in the city of São Paulo. For the 2020 edition, the hotel segment is well represented, with major domestic groups and chains as well as international ones.

The Iberostar chain, will be taking part in the event for the 3rd year, as will the AM Resorts and Melia International Hotels chains. Both Hotéis Othon, whose accommodation is directed at the corporate tourism sector and Windsor Hotéis, have also confirmed their presence.

Hotel Luzeiros, which is part of Collection Hotels & Resorts, a collection of independent hotels, is also taking part in the 2020 edition, along with GJP Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.

The vice-president of GJP Hotels & Resorts, Fabio Godinho, highlights the generation of business from the event. “WTM plays a key role in the relationship between our main business partners and suppliers of the entire tourism chain. It is one of the main exhibitions in the segment that have a positive impact the on development of the sector’s economy and is one of the main ones responsible for the generation of jobs and income in Brazil”.

Ilka Padula, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Global Sales Director mulls over the chain’s participation in the 8th edition, and stresses the strategic importance that the event adds to good networking. “Currently, WTM is considered one of Latin America’s most important exhibitions in the travel industry. Taking part in the event is a key element for strengthening Wyndham in the region. It is also the proper event for our brands’ hotels to take part in together with us, presenting their products’ new features along with details of new hotels that have been launched. In addition to holding meetings with customers and inter-reacting with the market”.


WTM Latin America is recognized for its highly prepared visiting audience and for the opportunities generated by the event. WTM’s Sales manager, Bianca Pizzolito emphasizes the exhibition’s commitment to bringing together high-level exhibitors and visitors.

Exhibitors from a number of segments have already confirmed for the 2020 edition and will be announced gradually.
