Alex Leite and Martha Torres are confirmed to speak in the Inspire Theatre
The 8th edition of WTM Latin America, which takes place from 31 March to 2 April in Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, confirms the participation of Alex Leite, director of Live University and Martha Torres, director of L.E.K Consulting. The executives will take part in events in the Inspire Theatre, when they will talk to participants about “Leadership” and “Artificial Intelligence”, respectively. You can already register to take part in WTM Latin America at this link.
As the main tourism event in Latin America for B2B audiences, WTM Latin America has featured relevant content in each of its editions for improving the professionalization and qualification of the tourism industry.
At 2:10 p.m. on the first day of the event (31 March), Alex Leite will be giving a talk on “Leadership 4.0”. The director of Live University, a business school that specializes in executive education, will discuss the multiple skills and competencies that 4.0 leaders need in order to work with a digital mindset. He will reflect on how to properly delegate activities, manage the time required for each task effectively and encourage an environment of growth and learning, and he will discuss the awareness needed to do this effectively.
Martha Torres, a partner and director of the L.E.K São Paulo office, is confirmed as a speaker on the second day of the event (1 April). The professional, who has more than 15 years’ experience in consulting for the transport & tourism and retail markets, will be present in the space as from 1:30 p.m., when she will address the topic: “How Artificial Intelligence is going to shake up the travel sector”. Artificial intelligence is already present in the daily lives of those who work in the tourism chain. It allows them to understand the profile of travellers, identify opportunities and expand the industry’s options for innovation. Martha will bring up the topic for discussion with the purpose of debating with those attending the various ways in which the market might evolve and mature, given the technology now available to it.
The Inspire Theatre will have an intense programme of seminars and will offer participants the opportunity to exchange knowledge. During the three days of the event some 15 speakers will feature in this arena alone. The marketing manager of WTM Latin America, Thais Del Ben, adds that the event as a whole will have at least five arenas presenting inspiring content: the Inspire Theatre, the Corporate Travel & MICE Area, the Travel Forward Start Up Hub, the Travel Forward Theatre and the Networking Area. “We’re creating a very rich and productive agenda of content for the whole sector. The topics proposed for discussion are in line with the global trends in the tourism industry, the main issues that need developing and being made more professional, and the major innovations that are affecting the sector,” she concludes.
New topics and speakers will be shortly confirmed for the general programme of the event.
