Global B2B payments optimisation company, Ixaris, is increasing its stand size at Travel Forward 2019 by 70%. This comes after signing a deal with the potential to realise £50 million in transactions volumes as a direct result of its participation in last year’s inaugural event.
“Ixaris can confirm that we signed a contract with an OTA that will have an annual gross transaction volume of £6 million but has the potential to see volumes of up to £50 million,” said Sean Ashton, commercial director. “Clearly, the team had to work hard after Travel Forward to get the deal over the line, but this wouldn’t have happened without them facilitating the introduction,” he added.
The deal was signed following a meeting on-site, which had been arranged in advance with the client who was visiting Travel Forward. As a result of this deal – and an increasing appetite among travel companies to rethink their approach to supplier payments – Ixaris is increasing its stand size for 2019 by 70% compared to 2018.
The cost and administration of payments squeeze profit margins for travel companies. Payment experts Ixaris ease that squeeze, transforming payments from a profit-draining necessity to a fully optimised revenue stream for more than 200 customers in 50 countries. With a five-year track record in travel payments, Ixaris is boosting margins by up to 34% for its customers, from the world’s largest travel brands such as loveholidays and eDreams ODIGEO to independent travel agencies.
The fintech innovator has been recognised through a collection of technology award wins, including the TCP Awards, the PYMNTS.com awards, the Innovator Award and the Payments Awards. With offices in the UK, and Malta, Ixaris’ global partnerships include travel technology giants Sabre and Amadeus.
Richard Gayle, Exhibition Director at Travel Forward, said: “We were delighted that Ixaris chose to exhibit at the inaugural Travel Forward. The deal it signed due to its participation in Travel Forward perfectly demonstrates the impact exhibiting at the event can have on a technology company.
“With Ixaris increasing its stand size by 70% for Travel Forward 2019 I look forward to hearing about even more contracts the company agrees due to its participation in the event.”
