The next edition of the event will have new technology and personalized content for event managers
WTM Latin America, the world’s leading event for the travel industry in Latin America, announces yet another promising partnership for the event in 2019 with Meeting Professionals International (MPI) – www.mpiweb.org. Considered to be the largest organization of events industry professionals in the world, the entity will be present in two areas in the Latin American event. One of them is in the Corporate Travel Area, where MPI will offer a course with content directed at event organizers, and the other is in The Travel Tech Show, with an activation, a major trend and something new in the technology market as applied to the travel industry.
To formalize this partnership between the association and the event, Ney Neto, VP of MPI, met the WTM Latin America team and signed the agreement. For Luciane Leite, director of WTM Latin America, this union will bring even more content to the 7th edition, scheduled to take place between 2-4 April in São Paulo. “Content and technology associated with our industry has been a premise at WTM Latin America. Being able to expand the range of activations, conferences, workshops and other fronts more and more on these three days of the event anticipates and complements a latent demand in the sector and the market as a whole”, the executive said.
Founded in 1972, MPI provides innovative and relevant education, networking opportunities and business exchanges, and acts as a prominent voice for promoting and growing the industry. Its community comprises 60,000 professionals globally who arrange meetings and events, including more than 17,000 engaged members. Its recently inaugurated CEO, Tonico Novaes, says that in taking on the position he has taken up two challenges: to bring the MICE segment closer to entertainment and to attract more and more young people to the industry. “The partnership between WTM Latin America and MPI proposes bringing together and creating a cross-over between the public and the objectives of the association, which will result in gains for both partners”, concluded Novaes.
WTM Latin America is scheduled to take place in São Paulo, 2-4 April, 2019.
