WTM Latin America presents an app that will help increase exhibitors’ ROI

Emperia comes with the objective of facilitating the collection of leads

With each edition, WTM Latin America looks for solutions that facilitate and bring visitors and exhibitors together in order to generate business. For the 8th edition, which will take place between March 31st and April 2nd, at the Expo Center Norte Exhibition Centre in the city of São Paulo, WTM Latin America is launching the Emperia app, which was developed with the aim of collecting visitors’ data by means of the scanning of the badge’s QR-Code.

WTM Latin America’s marketing manager, Thais Del Ben, ponders on the role that technology has played as a business facilitator. “With Emperia, the information will be collected in a more fluid and organized way. This will make it possible for networking and deals to occur more quickly”, she adds.

This app is one of the new features of the 2020 edition. The data reader collects the information contained in the visitors’ badge – in compliance with the General Data Protection Law -, imports it and stores it immediately in the electronic device chosen by the user. Therefore, all information, data and contacts about the visitors are registered in a quick and sustainable way, reducing the distribution of business cards – and consequently has an impact on reducing the use of paper – in addition to organizing the data in a permanent way.

With the app it is possible to include notes regarding the content of the conversation/meeting, creating a history of the contact, as well as classifying that contact as being between 1 and 5 stars. The leads generated can be downloaded later using the link that will be sent to exhibitors at the end of each day of the event. There is no charge to exhibitors for access to the app and it joins the other tools provided by the event for the purpose of increasing the visitors’ engagement and the exhibitors’ ROI.

Emperia’s differential is that it collects and stores data off-line, in other words, without using the internet. This does not compromise its use in an area with limited resources in terms of mobile data or wifi usage.

“We are well aware that speed is a necessity in today’s world. With Emperia, information will be available in real time and organized simultaneously for the team that is in the field during the event, further increasing the amount of data collected from the participants. Which represents a real gain for exhibitors in terms of time and new business”, adds the event’s director, Luciane Leite.

The app will soon be made available on the Android and iOS platforms.
