The Department of Economic Development and Tourism of Ilhabela will take local trade professionals to promote business generation
São Paulo, August 03rd 2021 – With the goal of being consolidated as the best nature destination in Brazil, Ilhabela confirmed its participation in WTM Latin America Virtual 2021. The destination is trying to strengthen its position in the domestic and international markets and providing co-exhibitors the possibility of creating relations with the trading present at the fair, which will be held 100% online, in the coming August 10, 11 and 12.
In addition to generating new business, Ilhabela has the goal, moreover, to introducing to travel agents the main touristic attractions and local experiences so they can sell the product, betting on the regional short-term traveling trend, which will be at a high in the post-Covid Tourism reheating.
The good location of the destination, which is approximately a 3-hour drive far from the International Airport of Guarulhos, makes Ilhabela even more attractive to tourists, who count on several outdoors leisure activities.
Ilhabela has a great potential for being enjoyed, in contact with nature and avoiding crowding, and following all protocols for preventing Covid-19. The destination earned the Safe Travel seal from World Travel & Tourism Council – WTTC due to its efforts in fighting the pandemic.
During its participation in WTM Latin America Virtual, Ilhabela will present to participants everything the destination has to offer, focused on Experience Tourism, Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism. From the possibility of observing whales, dolphins and birds to contact with traditional caiçara-native communities and practicing sports such as diving, hiking and trekking and enjoying waterfalls and paradise-like beaches.
With over 40 paradise-like beaches and one of the greatest Rainforest reservations in the planet, an 85% area preserved by State Park Ilhabela, the destination is rich in natural resources, history, caiçara culture, and legend.
