Session is scheduled for April 17 and registration is open until March 8
The leading role being proposed at WTM Latin America 2024 under the theme “The Future Is Open. Be The Change” is reflected in every area of the event and will be represented in the Digital Influencers’ Speed Networking, a session dedicated to professionals who are influencers and/or content producers in the digital environment.
The session will be held on the last day of the event, April 17, between 3 and 4 p.m., at the Trends Theatre, a theater that will host presentations, lectures and workshops focused on discussions that address trends in different areas of the tourism industry for three days.
“The digital environment has been growing and is increasingly becoming a relevant part of the industry, changing consumption behavior,” explains Virgínia Marques, Communications Manager at WTM Latin America, and reinforces that “our main interest is to show how those professionals can contribute to several launch, positioning, projection and marketing strategies for products, services and tourist destinations”, she highlights, and reveals that, in this edition, the session will be aimed at promoting exchanges between these professionals, exhibitors, agents and tour operators.
Schedule follows a model similar to that of previous sessions: exhibitors and visiting travel professionals will be able to interact with influencers and/or digital content producers in 10-minute talks for one hour. Participants will be invited to alternate and interact with a new influencer/content creator, directly chosen according to their brand’s interests.
ABBV Partnership
The 2024 edition of Digital Influencers’ Speed Networking will continue in partnership with the Brazilian Travel Blogs Association (ABBV), which will partially curate and select 20 (out of a total of 30) participants, divided into 13 categories: Afrotourism, Culture and History, Diversity and Inclusion, Lifestyle and Fashion, Family and Pets, Gastronomy and Drinks, LGBTQIA+, Women Travelers, Accessible Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Luxury Tourism, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism, Affordable Travel.
According to Luciano Palumbo, chairman of ABBV, this space is perfect for the trade (agents, operators, DMCs/TMCs and service providers) to interact with the digital environment in a professional manner.
“Speed Networking is the starting point for creating outstanding strategies based on existing cases or new proposals between content producers, companies and travel destinations. It is important to remember that the space is not intended for individual classes or mentoring, but rather for developing synergies between companies looking for digital advertising and promotion campaigns,” says Palumbo.
To apply for this panel, professionals must fill out the form available at this link. Registrations are available until March 8. Names of the selected applicants will be announced until March 25.
