The fifth edition will award the best practices in six categories that address topics focused on environmental conservation, inclusion and diversity, fair economic development, and the promotion of relationships between tourists and their travel destination.

The 2025 edition of the WTM Latin America Responsible Tourism Award has just opened its registrations. The goal is to showcase the most inspiring stories from the sector to promote sustainable development in Latin America. The finalists will be announced in March and the awards ceremony will be held on April 15, during the event. Under the theme “Where Tech Meets Touch”, WTM Latin America will take place from April 14 to 16, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.

Under the lead of Pablo Menendez, who is also the curator of Teatro Transformation, the fifth edition of the Responsible Tourism Award is organized into six categories (new and/or revised) and has the support of experts from organizations in different Latin American countries. The categories are:

“We seek inspiring, committed companies and initiatives that have work related to one of the six pillars that will be awarded. We know that these stories exist. Our role is to project them so that they become an inspiration and a model for replication for fairer, more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable tourism,” says Bianca Pizzolito, Event Leader at WTM Latin America.
