The areas will be commanded by Virgínia Marques and Cláudia Delfino, executives who are part of the RX Global team, with experience at WTM Latin America and in events
Creating and consolidating meaningful connections within the tourism market is one of WTM Latin America’s main roles and this is not limited to the fair. The industry’s largest B2B event in the Latin American region also uses this premise as a basis for organizing its new team.
The movement became clear with the promotion of Bianca Pizzolito to Head of WTM Latin America and continues with the recent restructuring of the marketing and commercial teams that will be taken over, respectively, by Virgínia Marques and Cláudia Delfino. “Valuing internal talents means recognizing the team’s history of dedication and commitment over the years, as well as recognizing the technical capacity we have in-house.”, says Bianca Pizzolito.
Graduated in Social Communication and with a postgraduate degree in Marketing and Innovation, Virgínia has been working in the business-to-business events sector for more than 10 years, five of which in an ascending career at RX Global, promoter of WTM Latin America, where she worked as a senior executive and marketing coordinator. “Being back on the WTM Latin America team and continuing to contribute to the evolution and construction of this magical industry that is tourism is a wonderful move. I am very happy and optimistic about the innovative future that we will design together.”, says Virgínia, Marketing and Communications Manager at WTM Latin America.
Claudia has a degree in Hospitality and a postgraduate degree in digital transformation. With 14 years of experience in the business fair sector, she has been working at RX Brasil for eight years. In 2018, she was promoted to sales coordinator and, this year, she reached the position of Sales Manager Brazil and Latin America. “Being on the front line of sales for events in the WTM portfolio for so many years gave me the experience and now I can look forward to the whole, from another place, and contribute even more, articulating my knowledge with the newness of the sales team we are building. It is very encouraging to experience this moment for the team.”, says Cláudia.
The executives highlight the challenge of maintaining the roots already established by WTM Latin America, while making room for something new. “Our objective is to create a dialogue between the solid structure of WTM and the new things we are building, to bridge the gap between what was and what will be. Our theme for this edition is ‘The Future is Open. Be the Change.’ and this is also reflected in our structure.”, says Bianca Pizzolito.
