WTM Latin America’s Senior Exhibition Director talks about what’s new in the 5th edition of the event

On a visit to Brazil, Charlie Cracknell underlined the importance of uniting technology, relationships and business generation

The Senior Exhibition Director of Reed Exhibitions, Charlie Cracknell, was in São Paulo this week for a series of meetings with representatives from the tourist industry. The agenda was organized to promote the event ad listen to the expectations and needs of the market, which must be reflected in the 2017 edition of WTM Latin America.

The executive took the opportunity to add his experience of the Reed Exhibitions portfolio to the initiatives that are being developed by the company’s Brazilian team. This will be the fifth year of WTM Latin America, which will be held in Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, from 4 – 6 April, and everything is being organized to deliver the best possible relationship and business event to those taking part.

“Latin America is a market that represents an enormous opportunity. It’s important for us to understand the players and reflect their expectations in an event that materializes the best relationship and business environment”, said Charlie Cracknell. “We created a promotions’ programme that visited nine countries in the region. The initiative was very successful, so much so that based on the meetings held in Central America, we were able to get close to the local trade and ensure the presence of Panama and El Salvador in this edition of the show”, the executive added.

According to the director, WTM Latin America, this year in its fifth edition, has established itself as the main event in the industry in the region in the first half of the year. “In 2017 we’re working with a lot of information that’s helping us format the show more assertively and efficiently“, he said.
