World Travel Market London, the leading global event for the travel industry, facilitates almost one million on-stand business meetings which sees the event generate around £2.8 billion in industry deals.
In total, 923,916 on-stand business meetings took place at WTM London 2016 making it the event where the industry conducts its business negotiations. On average WTM exhibitors host a total of 204 on-stand meetings.
This number excludes business meetings at pre-scheduled appointment events such as ILTM at WTM. It also excludes the WTM Speed Networking session, which takes place on the first day of the event for WTM Buyers’ Club members and on Wednesday for digital Influencers (bloggers).
WTM London 2016 experienced a joint-record 51,500 participants, including a 9% increase in WTM Buyers’ Club members to 9,910 (from 9,097 in 2015). The WTM Buyers’ Club is the leading business network for travel buyers. The increase in participants and buyers saw almost one million on-stand meetings take place at the event helping it to facilitate almost £2.8 billion in industry deals.
