The winners of the World Travel Market London 2024 Best Stand Awards have been announced.
Best Stand Design over 150 square metres was awarded to Andalusia (N5-210) which has a space boldly incorporating local architecture. The judges commented: “It caught the eye from a distance because of the incredibly striking imagery on the banners displayed around the sides of the stand, complemented by bold lighting. The stand really has presence on the show floor.”
Best Stand Design, 50-150 square metres went to Trenitalia (N3-518) for its locomotive-inspired creation. “It was a smart use of space and resources. It was well thought out and it represented the brand well,” the judges said.
Instituto do Turismo de Cabo Verde (S11-418) topped the category for Best Stand Design under 50 metres squares. The judges commented: “For a small stand, you couldn’t miss it because of the vibrancy. It just made you feel like you were there.” They also noted that it was already busy early in the day.
Highly commended in this category was CodeGen (S2-318). “It beautifully displays what the company does, then in front of that there’s a good amount of room for business,” the judges said.
Best Stand for Doing Business was awarded to Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (N12-210). The judges said: “They’ve transformed it into a business hub. They’ve made it cosy and personal with loads of venues to do business in.”
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (N10-210) won Best Stand Feature for its creative showcasing of local products. The judges remarked: “It was actually evocative of the local culture. A lot of thought went into the dressing and presentation.” They also admired “the link between tourism and local communities.”
