World Travel Market shall once again produce its yearbook dedicated to documenting the achievements, milestones and ambitions of the global travel and tourism sector.
Entitled ‘The WTM London Yearbook 2022 – Tourism for Sustainable Growth’; the publication charts the industry’s remarkable recovery following the pandemic and outlines its vision for future expansion and development.
The yearbook tracks tourism progress in key destinations, supported by comprehensive data and eye-catching infographics. It features exclusive interviews with tourism leaders and organisations involved in destination development, from airlines and hotels to investment bodies and developers.
Each country report highlights major tourism projects, infrastructure developments, innovations and new market approaches.
The WTM London Yearbook 2022 also features the first annual Responsible Tourism Compliance Report, profiling the top 10 countries and destinations pioneering robust responsible tourism agendas.
The yearbook has been produced by World Travel Market in partnership with UK-based publisher GT Media ME Ltd, a specialist in high-end business intelligence annuals.
The interactive digital versions will include video interviews filmed at World Travel Market London 2022 and embedded after the event. Delegates can pick up a printed copy at World Travel Market London in November.
Juliette Losardo, Exhibition Director at World Travel Market London, said:
“The WTM Yearbook 2022 provides a point in time reference book – documenting tourism’s progress over the past 12 months and a view on the future – through the eyes of influential industry leaders. It will provide a barometer of industry recovery, growth and sentiment – a must-read for travel and tourism stakeholders around the world.”
Khaled Algaay, Publisher, GT Media ME Ltd, commented:
“The WTM London Yearbook 2022 will turn the spotlight on tourism industry figureheads and entities that have not only successfully navigated the pandemic but continued to drive the responsible growth and development of the sector, embracing innovation and sustainability.
“The only publication of its kind to document the sector’s achievements, as well as its vision for the future, featuring interviews with industry gamechangers and opinions from global leaders, the yearbook will be a history book of note and a collector’s item.
“The yearbook title, ‘Tourism for sustainable growth’, also reflects how, as the industry rebuilds, responsible and regenerative tourism strategies are no longer nice-to-haves but crucial to the long-term viability of the sector.
“The publication will highlight the visionaries seeking to enrich destinations as better places to live and visit, setting new benchmarks for others to follow.”
