At the end of April this year, over 50 travel industry professionals gathered to complete a Tough Mudder in order to raise funds for a borehole project in Nsunka Village, Zambia with Just a Drop.
The Travel Tough Mudder team, made up of travel practitioners from Monarch, C&M Recruitment, Travel Weekly, Ocean Holidays, Travelzoo and many more, took on what has been described as the hardest obstacle course in the world.
They were an amazing group of people that came together and battled through the course, showing a great example of how the travel industry consistently comes together to purposefully make a positive impact. Their team work was evident from start to electric shock finish! Everyone trained really hard, and on the day it was cold, physically demanding and very muddy, but everyone gave 110%.
The project they supported is due to begin shortly where 300 people will benefit through providing a water pump in Nsunka Village in Zambia, giving them access to a reliable source of clean safe water.
We thought they would call it a day there, but they have already signed up to take part in a Tough Mudder half course on 17th September in Horsham – if you think you’d be interested and want to join in the fun, we’re on the look out for new recruits!
So, if mud, ice and electric shocks over a 5 mile, 14 obstacle endurance event, having fun working in a team and raise money for a great cause ticks all the boxes for you, then get in touch – we’d love to hear from you!
