Visitors to Europe’s oldest porcelain factory can watch craft demonstrations and find out about the history of Meissen Porcelain.
Established in 1710 near Dresden, the factory offers visitors the chance to explore its House of Meissen – World of Experience visitor centre which includes a museum, shop, café and restaurant.
The World of Experience opens daily and hosts special events such as gourmet evenings, open days, Christmas markets and exhibitions.
Exhibits in the museum explore topics such as literature, fashion and music, and there are about 60 timepieces, mostly from the 18th century.
The open days at the factory will be on 27-28 April 2018, and the Christmas market will be on 8-9 December 2018.
Guided tours at the site are available in 11 languages, while the audio tour is in 14 languages.
