WTM Latin America 2017 invests in technology to connect participants

The resource, which will be available for exhibitors, buyers and the press, will help promote strategic meetings

Something significantly new for all participants will mark the fifth edition of WTM Latin America: My Event is an online platform that will allow contact between the different audiences before, during and after the event that will be held in Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, from 4 – 6 April.

The main objective of My Event is to help each professional visiting the event to plan their participation and joins with other initiatives directed at generating business. The platform functions like a “match-maker” and is based on the preferences and objectives of individuals as indicated in their registration process.

The platform enables an individual professional profile to be created (something similar to the social networks), for meetings to be requested during the event and for favourite exhibitors and conferences to be selected. Each user receives on their web page recommendations for connecting with companies or products, thereby optimizing their time in the pavilion, indicating where the right contacts for meetings are located and increasing interaction and networking possibilities.

“My event is something new that we’re bringing in order to offer our exhibitors, buyers and the press an even more complete experience. The platform allows users to organize their time at the event better and a lot more productively, thereby considerably expanding their commercial opportunities, precisely because it raises the capability level for establishing networks, getting to know new contacts and winning contracts”, explains the Senior Exhibition Director for Reed Exhibitions, Charlie Cracknell.

To access My Event, you first of all need to register for WTM Latin America 2017 at www.latinamerica.wtm.com. After validation by the system the professional will receive another e-mail for activation containing instructions relating to their profile on the web portal.
