Diversity panels are on the WTM Latin America content schedule

Guests present destinations that bet on LGBT+ campaigns and how to learn from these travelers

São Paulo, July 30th 2021 – On August 10, 11 and 12, the WTM Latin America Virtual, the main tourism event aimed at the B2B public in Latin America, takes place. In this edition, the event will feature two panels focused on diversity and will address the LGBTQIA+ theme in the tourism sector.

One of the points that will be presented is how two Brazilian destinations used campaigns and actions to attract the LGBT+ audience and the results of the changes that took place. The other panel discusses how companies are attracting LGBTQIA+ tourists and what can be done to get closer to this market.

For Thaís Del Ben, marketing manager at WTM Latin America, it is still necessary to put these issues on the agenda to promote behavioral changes. “Opening space for these discussions is fundamental for a more diverse and inclusive market. With the panels, we discuss attitudes that can no longer go unnoticed on a daily basis, and we contribute so that the travel market is increasingly qualified and prepared to receive all tourists in a welcoming and respectful manner”, she comments.
