Inspire Theatre provides content about tourism and technology for WTM Latin America 2018

Technology market companies have conferences confirmed for the event, which will be held in São Paulo between April 3rd and April 5th, and reinforce the impact of the digital universe on the tourism sector

At the 6th edition of WTM Latin America, the world’s principal event for the Latin American travel industry, which will be getting together between April 3rd and April 5th, at the Expo Center Norte in the city of São Paulo, will include speakers from well-known companies such as Google and Facebook at the Inspire Theatre (the former Conference Theatre), with a capacity to hold more than 60 people.

On the topic of “Tourism in the Age of Assistance”, Aline Prado e Silva, Insights leader for the Tourism Industry in Google Brazil, will give a talk on April 3rd (Tuesday), from 4.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., as well as on April 4th (Wednesday) from 2.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. At this encounter, the executive will discuss how consumers express their needs and how to be a brand that is present in this era of transformation, in which consumers cease to look at their smartphones as devices and start to think of them as personal assistants.

According to Aline, “studying the tourism sector at a time when there are so many developments occurring in terms of technology, makes us realize that all change takes place in parts.” While some parts change and others don’t, gaps are created in the middle of the path until such time as someone realizes there is an opportunity, and seizes it” emphasizes the executive. Businesses are reinvented, others improved, but our essential requirement, as travellers, continues to be to have the best experience possible, to make the very most of it, and to be able to do so in the safest possible way. To take part in WTM and to be able to share the way that we see the demand from travellers in Brazil evolving, in a setting with so many market experts is a delicious challenge for us here at Google Brazil”, adds the executive.

On the second day of WTM Latin America, from 4.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., the Inspire Theatre will be the setting for the presentation by Nathalia Lacava, responsible for the strategic and consultative part of the large Travel accounts on Facebook Brazil. “Instagram: find out how the platform that serves as inspiration for most Brazilian travellers can help leverage your business”, will be the theme of the talk. On April 5th (Thursday), the last day of the event, André Gyurkovits, responsible for heading up attendance for companies in the travel industry on Facebook Brazil, will give a talk, from 1.45 p.m. to 2.15 p.m. “How to differentiate between so much content?,” in which the executive will explore success stories, give quick tips and present good practices for making your content and campaigns even more relevant to people on the brand’s digital platforms.

There are a further 14 conferences confirmed for this venue. “Having Google and Facebook with us at this edition, reinforces our idea to offer debates and talks that provide tourism professionals with true inspiration and a lot of reflections, with the result that they come out of there with some great ideas,” says Thais Del Ben, WTM Latin America’s marketing manager.
