WTM Latin America will have panels dedicated to the theme of women in tourism

Guests seeking gender equity present their successful ideas and project

São Paulo, July 28th 2021 – The WTM Latin America Virtual, which takes place on August 10, 11 and 12 and brings together audiences from different countries, will present panels on the theme of women in tourism, with the support of the Resilience Council through three pillars: Communication, Defense, and Implementation. Among the points presented will be the role of women in the travel and tourism industry, at what point is gender equity in the sector and what actions are taken to contribute to a more effective role of these professionals.

For Thaís Del Ben, marketing manager of WTM Latin America, the discussion is still necessary, and it is important that the women struggle for space is addressed in events such as WTM Latin America. “Over the years we have seen transformations happen and now we have women with relevant roles and in management positions within the tourism industry, but there is still a path to be traversed towards total gender equality and this needs to be followed up on the agenda”, she highlights.

The 9th edition of the event, which takes place 100% online, will feature the following themes and participants:
