Following his ‘Travel Tech Trends You Should Know About’ session, Luca gave us his predictions for 2016 and beyond. Here’s what he had to say:

The key points:

• Virtual reality; this could be a coming trend, however big players such as Google are holding back in understanding the usability of this technology.
• Small companies need to and will invest in new technologies too.
• A good example of small companies investing in new technology is ClickTrips, they have a focus, KPI on revenue so every change or investment in tech they make needs to provide results.
• There are mega trends like virtual reality, but also there will be a trend of smaller companies transferring new technology into the travel industry.
