The Brussels Museums Council has unveiled a new website for visitors to the Belgian capital.

The site provides a wealth of information about more than 115 museums and arts centres in Brussels, and is available in English, French and Dutch.

It has descriptions of the permanent collections, plus practical information such as contact details, opening hours and accessibility for disabled persons.

There are sections about exhibitions, guided tours, conferences and concerts, as well as about special events and activities such as Museum Night Fever, the Nocturnes (late night openings) and the Museum Map.

Users can browse the news section for the latest updates, and visit the new museum advisor section for recommendations.

The website also offers general Brussels visitor information and details about the Brussels Card, which offers discounts on travel and admission to venues.
