The team at Cambria DMC has almost doubled in 2018 to 10, who will be housed in a new office being established in their hometown of Aberystwyth to cope with expansion plans.
The Welsh destination management company is also leading the way with staff well-being, as colleagues have unlimited annual leave, a team “chill-out” zone and a focus on healthy choices and work-life balance.
This year has seen growth, with new tours created focusing on genealogy, heritage and history – and a new literary tour is among those planned for 2019.
Next year, the firm will extend the season for ‘Snapshot of Wales’ tours, its five-day guided trips for FITs (free independent travellers), and expand the range of products available for inbound tours.
Furthermore, Cambria DMC, along with sister brand Cambria Tours, will become part of Cambria Group – an umbrella brand that will incorporate the launch of new projects next year such as Cambria Events and the Cambria Collection.
Managing director Aled Rees has been in a business events steering group with Visit Wales, and promises to ‘reinvigorate the business events’ landscape in Wales with the launch of Cambria Events.
Meanwhile, the launch of Cambria Collection will feature the firm’s favourite hotels, ranging from Grade I listed buildings to 19th century castles, homely B&Bs, unique bunkhouses and glamping cabins.
