Ontario Options Increase With Hotel Openings And New Flights

Visitors to Ontario now have more choice when booking luxury accommodation thanks to upmarket hotel openings.

The Kimpton Saint George, which opened in July 2018, is near many of Toronto’s main attractions including the Royal Ontario Museum, St Lawrence Market, Distillery District, Hockey Hall of Fame and the Bata Shoe Museum.

Elsewhere in Toronto, building work has begun on the Nobu Residences, Hotel and Restaurant Toronto in Downtown’s Entertainment district.

The building is expected to be finished in two years’ time.

In Canada’s capital, Ottawa, the Le Germain Hotel opened its doors in June 2018 and is within walking distance of tourist sights including ByWard Market, the Rideau Canal and the Parliament of Canada.

Ontario will be further boosted by a new Norwegian route from Dublin, which will start on 31 March 2019.

The daily service between Dublin and Hamilton-Toronto will be the first direct flight between the two cities.

Hamilton, which is a one-hour drive from Toronto, offers easy access to some of Ontario’s most scenic landscapes including Niagara Falls and Blue Mountain.

Attractions news being promoted at WTM London include a major upgrade to Toronto’s CN Tower in June 2018; a Museum of Illusions, which opened in Toronto in October 2018; and the launch in May 2018 of Europe’s largest self-drive boating company, Le Boat, on Ontario’s historic Rideau Canal.
