The European country of Slovenia will be at WTM London to promote its health tourism, heritage, wine regions, beekeeping attractions and alternative accommodation.
It has 15 certified natural health resorts, from the marble baths of Terme Dobrna to the unique black thermal mineral waters of Terme 3000 and tranquil waters of Terme Olimia.
Slovenia has a rich cultural history, including the newly designated UNESCO biosphere reserve The Mura River and Europe’s largest show cave.
The Slovenian Tourist Board has two new campaigns which aim to preserve Slovenia’s culture, and is working with Ljubljana Castle to promote the country’s heritage.
Other sectors being promoted include Slovenian wine-making; the launch of the official World Bee Day, which received official backing from the UN in May; and alternative ‘glamping’ in quirky accommodation such as a wine barrel, a honeycomb-shaped chalet, and traditional alpine mountain huts.
