Canada’s newest national park, located in the Mealy Mountains of Newfoundland, is home to wolves, black bears and marten and will form an important part of Parks Canada’s five-year tourism plan. Nature lovers keen to hike, kayak and camp in the pristine wilderness of the spectacular glacially rounded Mealy Mountains are welcome to explore the lively salmon rivers, as well as a 50-kilometre sandy beach which was known to the Vikings as the Wonderstrands.
