Enjoy Illinois – the Illinois Office of Tourism – will attend World Travel Market London 2015 as part of its strategy to maintain visitor number growth.

Last year, the US state welcomed more than 109 million visitors – up 3.5% over 2013.

New initiatives to keep the numbers increasing include ‘Enjoy’, a lifestyle-format Illinois travel magazine that will be published twice a year.

An interactive digital version of the magazine will appear on enjoyillinois.com.

The tourist office will also promote The 606 trail in Chicago, which opened in June 2015.

The project has turned an old railroad embankment into a recreational trail and park system.
