Formula 1 Takes Over the Las Vegas Strip 16 – 18 November, 2023 The most anticipated Grand Prix in motorsports history is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas on 18 November, 2023. Taking place at night against the iconic Las Vegas backdrop, the track will see drivers reach jaw-dropping speeds of over 210mph (340kph) as they race around some of the world’s most iconic landmarks, hotels and casinos on the legendary Las Vegas Strip.  

British Airways launches new direct flight from London Gatwick to Vegas, starting in March 2023  

British Airways will run a new direct flight from London Gatwick to Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport for summer 2023 between 26 March 2023 – 28 October 2023, operating three times a week on the Boeing 777-200 aircraft. The lead-in price is £426, based on a return journey in their World Traveller (economy) cabin.  

Record air arrivals into Las Vegas international airport  

Las Vegas enjoyed its busiest months since the start of the pandemic with record air arrivals into Harry Reid International Airport in June 2022. The airport saw a total of 4,683,156 passengers, a 22.9% increase from June 2021 to June 2022, with the previous high set in October 2019 with a total of 4,609,318 passengers. 244,033 of arrivals and departures were international passengers, up 357% from the previous year, proving that Las Vegas is more popular than ever with visitors flocking back to this bucket-list destination. In addition, July saw the highest monthly visitation in Las Vegas since the start of the pandemic, reaching nearly 3.5 million visitors for the month and overall hotel occupancy reaching 83.4%, with weekend occupancy exceeding 91% and midweek occupancy at 79.1%.
