The most anticipated Grand Prix in motorsports history is set to take place in Las Vegas on 18 November 2023. For the first time in over 40 years, a Formula 1 Grand Prix is taking place along the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. The night race will see drivers reach jaw-dropping speeds as the expertly curated track leads them around some of the world’s most iconic landmarks, hotels and casinos. The newest addition to the Formula 1 calendar will comprise of three straights, two DRS zones and a total of 17 corners, and will see drivers reach an estimated top speed of 342 k m/h (212 mph) around the 6.12 km (3.8 mile) circuit. After a high energy weekend of racing, travellers can take the time to immerse themselves in a whole host of unforgettable experiences – from world-class shows and innovative art exhibitions to off-the-beaten track outdoor adventures, inspiring hotel developments and some of the most sought after elevated dining experiences.
The Super Bowl will take centre stage in Las Vegas for the first time in 2024
Preparations are well under way in Las Vegas for the 2024 Super Bowl set to take place in the Greatest Arena on Earth, on 11 February 2024 at the Allegiant Stadium. America’s most viewed sporting event will be played for the first time ever in Las Vegas, and with last year’s Super Bowl bringing in a viewership of 99.18 million, it is no doubt that this will be a momentous moment for both the sport and destination. The culmination of the biggest sporting event with the entertainment capital, will bring a whole new level of excitement to 2024.
The Sphere Las Vegas set to open in September 2023
To celebrate Independence Day on the 4 July, The Sphere lit up the global stage with a captivating display of dynamic, animated content on the venue’s exterior ‘The Exosphere’ for the first time since its construction. The signature feature of The Sphere, a next-generation entertainment venue, is its 580,000 square foot fully-programmable LED exterior, the largest LED screen on earth. Upon completion the pioneering venue will host original experiences from leading Hollywood directors; concerts and residencies from the world’s biggest artists; and premier marquee events contributing to The Entertainment Capital’s array of live entertainment performances. The Sphere will officially open on 29th September 2023 with the inaugural performance set to be The U2:UV Achtung Baby Live. It will be a new Las Vegas landmark, powered by cutting-edge technologies that ignite the senses and enable audiences to share experiences at an unprecedented scale. Fontainebleau Las Vegas
The highly anticipated Fontainebleau Las Vegas will open its doors in December 2023, showcasing its glamorous interiors, world class restaurants, shopping, pool and entertainment experiences. The striking 67 story reflective blue glass property will become the tallest hotel in Las Vegas at 225 metres, and contain 3,700 rooms and 550,000 square feet of meeting and convention space.
