STRATEGIC PORT DEVELOPMENTS

Throughout 2024, Cruise Saudi has been actively expanding its cruise facilities and services in ports and destinations, while establishing key partnerships within strategic entities to enhance the offerings to cruise passengers. In January, a significant MoU was signed with Al Madinah Region Development Authority, marking a pivotal step towards diversifying the offerings on Saudi’s west coast. In March, Cruise Saudi and Jeddah Historic District Program committed to a partnership that will see both organisations work together to create a world-class tourist attraction in one of Saudi’s most culturally rich destinations.

SUSTAINABILITY NEWS

This year Cruise Saudi joined the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and innovation. Cruise Saudi has also implemented various initiatives and technologies to reduce its environmental impact. In collaboration with the BAA Foundation, Cruise Saudi is working to preserve wildlife, with a focus on turtle and coral conservation. Additionally, the company has ordered the Evac HydroTreat to be retrofitted on its inaugural cruise ship, AROYA, which will allow it to reduce its waste treatment-related CO2 emissions by up to 80%.
