In 2023, Cruise Saudi unveiled AROYA Cruises, the world’s first Arabian cruise line setting sail from Jeddah this December. As Saudi’s first cruise line, AROYA Cruises is proudly leading the way in the Middle East, offering Remarkably Arabian experiences for guests at sea and onshore. Pioneering in its design, AROYA Cruises reflects Arabian generosity and Saudi’s famous Hafawa (Hospitality), providing a unique experience with passenger comfort at its heart. Its first ship, AROYA, will have capacity for up to 3,362 passengers and feature 15 restaurants offering a variety of Saudi and international cuisine, 20 entertainment venues including a 1,018-seat theatre, kid-friendly areas such as a water park and teens club, and rejuvenating wellness centre complete with spa, beauty clinic and gym.
NEW RED SEA PRIVATE ISLAND, EXCLUSIVELY ACCESSIBLE TO CRUISE PASSENGERS
Cruise Saudi has recently announced it is developing a private island for cruise visitors in the Red Sea. The island will have the capacity to accommodate 2,000 visitors and will reflect authentic Saudi design. This addition will contribute to the growing list of cruise experiences available in Saudi. The island will offer a variety of shore excursions, including many land and water excursions and activities. The island is anticipated to be ready for cruise visitors in December 2024.

STRATEGIC PORT DEVELOPMENTS
Throughout 2024, Cruise Saudi has been actively expanding its cruise facilities and services in ports and destinations, while establishing key partnerships within strategic entities to enhance the offerings to cruise passengers. In January, a significant MoU was signed with Al Madinah Region Development Authority, marking a pivotal step towards diversifying the offerings on Saudi’s west coast. In March, Cruise Saudi and Jeddah Historic District Program committed to a partnership that will see both organisations work together to create a world-class tourist attraction in one of Saudi’s most culturally rich destinations.
SUSTAINABILITY NEWS
This year Cruise Saudi joined the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and innovation. Cruise Saudi has also implemented various initiatives and technologies to reduce its environmental impact. In collaboration with the BAA Foundation, Cruise Saudi is working to preserve wildlife, with a focus on turtle and coral conservation. Additionally, the company has ordered the Evac HydroTreat to be retrofitted on its inaugural cruise ship, AROYA, which will allow it to reduce its waste treatment-related CO2 emissions by up to 80%.
