As life after the pandemic slowly returns to its new normal, the return of domestic and regional travel may be the first sign of recovery, especially if international travel remains tight and quarantine restrictions are still in place.
In our first report in “life after the pandemic” series, where we captured the sentiment of travel customers in the Middle East, we found that travelling “closer to home” will define leisure travel, at least for the near term. But in what form or shape will that be? And what are the drivers of the travel recovery?
This is our second report in the series, which was fielded in May and co-sponsord by Amadeus. We explored the opinions of 1784 leisure travellers from across the Middle East and asked them about their holiday plans, aspirations and preferences with regards to domestic and regional travel.
