Executives from the company present research regarding the influence of mobile phones on travel purchases and tourists’ behaviour
At the 5th edition of WTM Latin America, which will be held between April 4th and April 6th at the Expo Center Norte Exhibition Centre in the city of São Paulo, participants will be able to check out, at two different times, lectures given by Facebook’s professionals during the Conference Theatre, a series of presentations about the Tourism sector.
With the theme ‘The Smartphone – your new travel compass’, the aim of the lecture will be to show how travel planning nowadays, is more diffused than ever and counts of the increased presence of mobile phones as the preferred device. And, in order to demonstrate this a study will be presented regarding the mobile phone’s influence on organizing Brazilians’ trips, which allows for more convenient planning, guiding the traveller right from the discovery of the travel destination right up to the point of purchase, in this way making it the tourist’s new compass.
On Wednesday April 5th, from 18:15 to 18:45 the team of speakers will include: Natalie Freire, a business manager with more than 12 years’ professional experience in Marketing and Digital Media, who is responsible for the development and sophistication of the Travel industry’s main advertisers on Facebook platforms; Daniel Ferreira, a statistician with a degree from UNICAMP, who is a researcher on Facebook’s Consumer Insights team in Brazil and a lecturer on FIA’s postgraduate studies, who heads up the studies regarding changes in consumer behaviour that can lead to actions by advertisers and agencies; and rounding off the team, Fernanda Alcantara, a researcher on Facebook’s Consumer Insights team in the United States, who has more than 15 years’ professional experience in companies such as Citibank and Santander, as well as having acted as a lecturer in Business Intelligence and Data Mining for post graduate classes.
On April 6th, from 15:15 to 15:45 participants will be able to check out the second lecture at the Conference Theatre, on the same topic and which will include the presence of the professionals Natalie Freire and Fernanda Alcantara.
