British ancillaries specialist Holiday Extras has won a prestigious World Travel Market London 2016 World Travel Leaders Award in recognition of its business growth, innovations and customer service.
The company’s Head of Partnership, James Lewis received the coveted award today (7 November) at the WTM World Travel Leaders Award ceremony from TTG Managing Director Dan Pearce.
The Awards give WTM London’s Official Media Partners – which represent key travel industry media around the world – an excellent platform to congratulate and recognise those companies and individuals that have made significant and ground-breaking contributions to travel and tourism in their region or sector.
Three nominations from each of WTM London’s media partners were judged in September by a panel of three, consisting of an independent body, a representative of WTM London and the relevant media partner.
Holiday Extras is a business founded on UK airport parking deals. In recent years, impressive growth has come through the addition of ancillaries such as travel insurance and attraction tickets, and it is now on a mission to become a one-stop shop for every ‘holiday extra’ through its system.
It is helping travel agents to capture more of their customers’ spend and making life easier for the end consumer with one, efficient transaction through one supplier.
Its biggest change in the next year will be through the rapid growth of car hire, which it launched last year and which it sees as the final part of its jigsaw.
The judges at the WTM World Travel Leaders Award said: “Holiday Extras is a simple, clever and impressive business that keeps on growing. “It is widely admired by getting its priorities right with strong customer service.”
Every year, World Travel Leaders Awards are presented at WTM London. The full list of 2016 winners is:
