WTM Latin America Announces Responsible Tourism Lecture Schedule

Debates with specialists from different regions of Latin America shed light on themes necessary for the development of the segment

 São Paulo, July 14th 2021 – One of the highlights of previous editions of WTM Latin America, Responsible Tourism will also be presented by speakers in this year’s edition, which takes place on August 10, 11 and 12, starting at 8 am, in a completely virtual way. Entries can be made at this link. During the debates, actions taken to give more prominence to this segment of tourism will be addressed.

For Gustavo Pinto, Responsible Tourism Advisor at WTM Latin America, this category is important to highlight other aspects that did not receive so much attention before. “Our goal is to encourage professionals who have innovative ideas to expand social impact, who are attentive to environmental and economic causes and encourage the taking of responsibility in tourism – a sector that will be central to sustainable development in the post-pandemic world”, he explains.

The first discussion will answer the question “Is community tourism ready to do business in Latin America?” and will feature four important names who are leading community tourism development processes in Latin America.
