The Project, in its second edition, gains two new pillars
WTM Latin America has announced the expansion of the Diversity Route scope with the inclusion of two new pillars for the 2025 edition. In addition to highlighting innovative projects that address the promotion of Afro tourism, LGBTQIA+ Tourism and 60+ Tourism, themes that marked its debut, the 2025 edition will also highlight projects related to Accessible Tourism and Community-Based Tourism.
The decision was made during the meeting of the WTM Latin America Diversity Committee, a group founded in 2022 and is currently made up of 11 professionals who are renowned in their fields and known for their work on behalf of the diversity, inclusion, and sustainability causes.
The new committee in charge of the Diversity Route, made up of Jéssica Paula, Mariana Aldrigui, Ricardo Gomes, Gustavo Pinto and Guilherme Soares Dias, will follow up on the project until it is implemented, during the fair. “With this expansion and the implementation of new strategies, WTM Latin America reaffirms its commitment to creating a truly inclusive and accessible environment, seeking to ensure that all voices have space and relevance in the plural universe of tourism. Our aim is to promote diversity and inclusion not only within our pavilions, but also to disseminate it throughout the industry”, says Virgínia Marques, the Event’s Marketing Manager.
