WTM Global Hub and BBC Global News host webinar with tourism bosses  to debate the way forward after pandemic

WTM Global Hub – WTM Portfolio’s new online portal – is again partnering with BBC Global News to turn the spotlight on European destinations recovering from the impact of COVID-19.

They will host a webinar on Thursday 18th June at 2pm BST, which will be the latest in a packed series of online debates organised by WTM Global Hub.

Called ‘Destination Europe: Where do we go from here?’, the webinar will explore the devastating effects of the coronavirus pandemic, emerging trends and how tourism boards can help the industry to recover.

The hour-long session will be moderated by Rajan Datar – a presenter on BBC World News and the BBC’s The Travel Show – with panellists from tourism agencies in France, Ireland and Hungary.

Destination Europe: Where do we go from here?’ starts at 2pm BST on 18th June and will be the 12th webinar on WTM Hub.

Niall Gibbons, Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland, oversees more than 160 staff in 21 markets. Ireland welcomed more than 11 million overseas visitors in 2019, supporting 325,000 jobs.

Fruzsina Zakariás, joined the Hungarian tourism board just in time to experience the sector’s most significant challenge to date, the shock caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and has been working on a strategy to rebuild Hungary’s international tourism in the post-COVID period.

Launched on April 23, WTM Global Hub aims to support travel industry professionals around the world.
